Urgent casting - 'Finding Neverland' a new musical
Please read all the details carefully!
All Artemis Agency clients who fit the profile will have already been submit for appropriate roles - please do not re-submit yourself! Check with the office if you are unsure.
Non Artemis Agency performers should have a parent or guardian submit them on their behalf.
Notes from the casting director Jo Hawes:
Please read the info below. Please make suggestions on separate emails for each show with the name of the child, dob, age, height and area in which they live i.e their education authority. No photos required except for THE LION KING and SOUTH PACIFIC. Please note in all cases boys must have unbroken voices and girls must be undeveloped.
I am unable to help anyone who is too tall or too old for any of these productions and I do not cast adults or have any information about adult casting. So sorry but time does not permit a response to email outside the limits set out below.
All suggestions welcome for all of the shows below providing the children fit the criteria – if they do not I am unable to see them. So sorry but all shows are very specific and the criteria are all there for very good reasons.
I am only able to take enquiries by email for reasons of time!
FINDING NEVERLAND - A new musical.
To be performed at The Curve in Leicester prior to a possible West End Run. It will be directed by Rob Ashford (Shrek).
Rehearsals are from July 30 in London or possibly Leicester / opening in Leicester around September 21st and closing on October 18.
Preferably boys will come from within a commutable distance of London. They will be seen first. However, we may consider long distance children so I welcome those suggestions too but they will not be seen initially unless I feel that I have not had enough suggestions.
Please make suggestions (with all speed because I am away next week) giving the following information - Name Age Height Education Authority to jo.hawes@virgin.net.Please note all boys must be fair skinned and no taller than 5 foot 2. They may have to have some dancing skills but this is unclear at the moment so please concentrate on their singing voices and acting skills.
-
Peter - about 9, the most aggressive of the boys, and probably the most disturbed, definitely the most artistic - and must also be winning; needs to have a spectacular voice,
with the same range as outlined below, and be capable of delivering a bravura solo number with an irregular meter and lots of sophisticated lyrics.
-
Jack - about 10, perhaps the most humorous of the boys, could be off-beat;
must have strong voice and be capable of singing complicated material/harmonies/etc.
Range: A-flat (a third below middle "C") to D (a ninth above middle "C")
-
George - 11, definitely the oldest, the one who is kind of in charge of the others, very winning and straight; must have strong voice and be capable of singing complicated material/harmonies/etc. Range: A-flat (a third below middle "C") to D (a ninth above middle "C")
-
Michael - 6-7, the baby, innocent, always striving to find his place among his brothers;
must have strong voice and be capable of singing complicated material/harmonies/etc.
Range: A-flat (a third below middle "C") to D (a ninth above middle "C")
