The Windsor Globe Outdoor Theatre Festival is now in its fourth year, and continues to grow! Each summer, we build our 200 seat open air theatre and produce two main shows for two weeks (one Shakespeare and one children's show), and several smaller music and comedy events including a charity gala. The venue is based in Alexandra Gardens, with direct views of Windsor castle, overlooking the River Thames and Eton, and just 30 minutes from central London.
An excellent opportunity for actors to experience open air theatre in a beautiful setting in the heart of Windsor, Berkshire. Many of our actors use their time with us as an opportunity to showcase, and go on to further paid work as a direct result of appearing in our shows. Each season we use our contacts to ensure actors are seen by producers and venue representatives.
We strive to promote opportunity, diversity and equality as a company, and each year include many community actors of all ages into the mix in supporting and chorus roles. We are a not-for-profit company who receive minimal grants (usually to cover additionally facilities for wheelchair users/people with access isssues as our shows are park based).

Production Details:
The setting is the recent riots in London, two families are at each others throats whilst looting TV'S and IPADS. Montague versus Capulet, old money versus new, east end versus west. They spew their hate onto the streets and on to their children. Misguided youth and mismanagement of teenage emotions combine to tell the greatest tragedy and the greatest love story of all time.
This version of the show recently enjoyed success in Walton on Thames. The director, Bart Lee, is reprising the show, with some of the original cast, for this festival.
Auditions are on an appointment basis from 2pm, Sunday 29th January, with possible additional time slots on Monday 30th from 7.30pm. ALL SLOTS MUST BE BOOKED IN ADVANCE.
Rehearsals will be from late April, and held at Artemis Studios in Bracknell, Berkshire, who have donated studio space. A schedule will be agreed between the director and cast, and will work around other work commitments held by the cast.

Please note, actors in the lead roles in this breakdown will be offered an expenses payment of £150. This will increase if grant funding is secured.
In addition to the expenses payment, we can offer the cast a DVD and photo disc of the show for showreels/portfolios, and also 4 comp tickets for industry guests (such as agents).
