We will be holding a one day workshop (the first in a series) this August for would be models!
The workshop will be spilt into two halves - the first session will be for anyone interested in modelling (aged 12-24).
Session One - Morning (£30):
An overview of the basics of fashion modelling.
Learning and practising the walk
Photo posing (with a real photographer)
Hair and make up.
Diet
Auditions and castings
Q&A session with the tutor.
The second will be for people who fit the following criteria only, and can only be taken if the first session is attended.
Session Two - Afternoon (£30 - includes CD of photos):
Exclusively for models who wish to pursue this seriously.
You must be a minimum of 5' 8" (Girls) and 5' 11" (boys). No older than 24 years. Dress size 0-10 girls.

How to build a portfolio,
More practice on walks and posing.
We will finish with a session with the photographer, and each model will receive a disk of 20 - 30 shots.
About the tutor:
Bronwyn Brown was a working fashion model in the USA for 17 years, full time for 10. She is 5' 10" (which in her day was considered short!), but worked and travelled all around the world. She started her career with catwalk, but also did editorial and commercial shoots for designers and fashion store chains.
When she married, she stopped travelling and just modelled locally (Detroit, Chacago, Cleaveland) and started a clothing company with her husband. The brand became very popular, especially with musicians (Iggy Pop, Eminem, Shirley Manson, Queens of the Stonage, Kid Rock..) and they did custom jackets for Sony Music and Atlantic Records. They eventually sold the company to Kid Rock. Bronwyn now lives in the UK, and is currently writing a handbook for would be young models. She has been on the client side as well as the model side and has a wealth of experience in both.
Plus! For models aged 16-24...
We have been asked by two agencies of international reputation to provide them with suggestions for new talent for 2009. Only models who are aged 16 and above will be considered. It is suggested, but not compulsory, to attend the courses above for consideration. Photos taken at the end of the second session will be sent for consideration to the agencies - we cannot guarantee a signing, but we will do all we can to help.
