Bracknell based ‘Artemis All-stars’ Cheer leaders took part in their their first ever Street Cheer competition last week, in Stoke on Trent. Street Cheer is new to the UK and combines Street Dance with traditional Cheerleading.
The competition was fierce and with 15 squads competing in their section (seniors) and over 1200 cheerleaders taking part across all categories.
Medusa alumni Robert Jackson had some fun last week when he was picked for a spoof advert!
The Young actor was chosen with another teen to be a lookalike for the now infamous "Jedward" brothers. The advert is a spoof which shows the boys supposedly being filmed on a security camera during rehearsals. they are then removed by a rubbish removal firm.
Four of our students helped out at the BBC over the summer. Josie Stanton, Stephen Stanton, Grace Key and Rhiann Connor were all sent by our agency to help CBBC pick a new presenting team!
Thanks to a fabulous grant from the local Youth Opportunity Scheme, we are able to encourage 6 young men to join our brilliant competitive Street Cheer squad for 2010.Street Cheer is a Cheer/Hip Hop/Street fusion. Boys don't use Pon Pons.
