Workshops and portfolio head-shots & a DVD showreel (sent after editing a few weeks after the course completes) are also all included in the cost of the course. Students need only provide note pads and writing materials.
Formed to support the further training of those wishing to, or already working professionally as performers in film and television.
Past successes: many of our L.A. Ready students have gone on to work professionally as child actors in film and television in the UK. One student, Raneisha, gained a manager and agent in Los Angeles as a result of her training and lived in California for a year, gaining paid work in film and TV in the USA.
We provide film and television acting technique training to young actors. Most of our current students already have a considerable amount of experience as actors (see success stories), and work professionally in film and television. We do consider students who are just starting out though - if you are serious about a career in film and television call us!
The holiday versions of L.A Ready do not require audition, but you MUST be serious about learning. Students aged under 11 will be accepted if we feel they will enjoy and benefit from the course.
For examples of past short films made as part of L.A Ready (we have been making short films and delivering film and screen acting tuition for five years to young actors), visit our video gallery.
A maximum of 12 places available. Places are secured by deposit, no reservation can be made without a deposit and confirmation from a parent or guardian - this is to ensure places remain available for students who need them.
This is a non-residential course. Local accommodation is provided for foreign students or those who live too far away to commute, with approved and council checked local families for a small fee.
