Medusa Theatre Company
Medusa Theatre Company for young adults. All company members have considerable professional or amateur experience, and all are in training for a career in performing. Entry on to this course is by audition/workshop only, the standard is very high.
The company start each week with either a musical theatre singing or dance class (each company member chooses which they prefer for the term) - this ensures they stay a 'triple threat', even if they prefer non musical acting. This class leads to public & charity performances and is shared with members of the Advanced 'triple threat +1' class. This helps students mentor one another, and learn from a greater pool of experiences.
The remaining three hours are spent in acting technique and or rehearsal time. Additional rehearsals may be called before a show, and the cast have access to the Drama Studio for this on Sundays.
Get in touch now if you are aged 14-21 and think you have the talent to join the company! We will also consider talented younger people if places become available. Under 14's may consider our Triple Threat Advanced until they are ready to move up.
In addition to performing in their shows, students write & devise, direct and produce. Unlike other schools with huge casts, the company is kept to a strict 20 cast maximum to allow everyone a voice within the company. Everyone gets a chance at lead roles - we don't have 'favorites' - casting is based on merit!
All company members will work towards Group LAMDA acting exams each autumn term. These are nationally recognized qualifications.
Medusa Theatre Company is taught and directed by an established theatre director, with three guest workshops each term to ensure company members are thoroughly challenged!
Join us on one of our open days for a FREE class trial/audition. A waiting list is now in place.
Agency representation is also available, as well as supporting roles in the Windsor Globe Summer Theatre Festival (late July & August)www.windsorglobe.co.uk for info....
