Maria take dance into schools
Senior Artemis student, and Petite Street teacher Maria Gunning, 18, took dance outreach to a local school this term.
Maria has been teaching sessions at Wildridings Primary school to a group of ten boys and girls keen to take their first steps in dance. Her Saturday classes at Artemis for 4-8 year olds have become very popular and now only a few places remain!
Maria has been assisted by TiE company member Danica Koslik (18), and Triple Threat and Arts Award student Freya Harris (10).
We hope this is the first of many sessions we will be able to offer local schools.
Earlier in the term drama tutor Diane Allen went into Garth Hill to help with an after school film making project. If your school would like an Artemis workshop, or series of sessions - get in touch!
