Summer school students at the Windsor Globe
Shakespeare summer school students had a great time on their course during our second summer school week during July.
In addition to learning sonnets, monologues and scenes, the children undertook fight skills workshops, period dance and practiced their parts for the end of week showcase for parents.
6 of the students also chose to take chorus parts, supporting the adult actors in the Midsummer Nights Dream production in the open air Windsor Globe. The show ran for a week, and the students appeared on alternate nights. Audiences loved the show, where the theatre is next to the river, and within sight of the castle - very romantic! The children worked well with director Bart Lee, and also learned lots form watching and working with the lead adults.
