Grant means Cheerleaders get their guys!

Thanks to a fabulous grant from the local Youth Opportunity Scheme, we are able to encourage 6 young men to join our brilliant competitive Street Cheer squad for 2010.Street Cheer is a Cheer/Hip Hop/Street fusion. Boys don't use Pon Pons. **********************Calling male Street and Hip Hop dancers!************************* We are now auditioning young men aged 13-19 for the 6 places. If accepted, the dancers will work with the rest of the senior Artemis Allstars squad or for less experienced dancers the Artemis JV Stars squad and rehearse towards festivals and competitions in 2010. The performance highlights include attending a BCA competition in Telford in April (fully funded, the hotel is paid for, as is uniform and entry fees), and also the Marvellous Family Festival, which sees the squad dancing for three days, on the main stage for audiences of up to 6000 people! There are an additional three smaller performances as well. If you are male, aged 13-19 and a great street or hip hop dancer call Gemah now on 01344 429403! The first auditions take place this week. Each scholarship is worth over £300! As part of the funding, our girls will also have their uniform and travel and accommodation to the April event paid for. All squad members must be free to train on Thursdays until 9pm, and attend all performance and fund-raising events scheduled. Every dancer will receive at least 70 hours of dance training before August! We currently have auditionees lined up from local clubs and crews, the standard will be high. Beginners aged are still welcome to try out for the junior squad, if you think you may have hidden dance skills get in touch!
